Midnight Rantings

Tired rantings in a tired world.

Well, the season is upon us. From now until the first of January we will be deluged with all of the trappings of the season. As I gear up for the season (I tend to be a bit of a humbug until right about now), I want to pause and give thanks.
In our country we do not give thanks for the bounty we are so fortunate to have. We have the best healthcare (not to be confused with health insurance), the best and most bountiful food, the best economy, our poor live better than middle class Europeans, etc. We need to quit criping and see how good we truly have it.

Personally, I am thankful for loving parents, a wonderful wife, three great children and opportunities my forefathers did not have.

Happy Thanksgiving!
