We're on a Road to Nowhere

President Bush has decided to increase funding to the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA). Why in the world are we funding art? Where in the Constitution does it say we can take money away from our citizens and give it to a bunch of social miscreants, who take feces and throw it onto a painting of Jesus and get paid for it by my government?

You remember our NEA. The NEA brought us such famous art exhibits as a a nude black woman taking the place of Jesus in the "Yo Mama's Last Supper." How is this possible? How can a government of the people and by the people do something that offends 60% of the population?

The government should not be funding art at all. I do not care what kind of art someone produces. An artist can produce anything that may be offensive. However, my government should not be funding any art. The government has no business in the art department, especially art that insults a large segment of the population.

Once again our President has shown that a "compassionate conservative" means raging liberal. When are we going to wake up?
